Position Summary:
The Center Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations of a high-performing orthopedic outpatient physical therapy center. This role combines leadership, business management, and direct patient care responsibilities to ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, team development, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services.
- Mentor and supervise staff physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and support staff.
- Maintain a patient caseload while balancing administrative duties.
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Center Operations:
- Manage daily center operations, including scheduling, workflow, documentation, and supplies.
- Implement and monitor center performance metrics (e.g., productivity, patient satisfaction, outcomes).
- Oversee center compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all local/state/federal regulations.
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and retain clinical and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and continuing education planning.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
Business Development & Marketing:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, orthopedic specialists, and the local community.
- Participate in strategic planning and execution to grow patient volume and referral base.
- Represent the clinic in professional and community events.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage the center’s financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and budgeting.
- Optimize resource utilization to meet financial goals.
- Participate in payer contracting discussions and quality reporting if needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.
- Current and active Physical Therapy license in [state].
- Minimum of 3–5 years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and post-operative rehab protocols.
