Outpatient Ortho Occupational Therapist


POSITION TYPE: Occupational Therapist

LOCATION: Camarillo, CA

SHIFT: Days; Full-Time

This role combines hands-on patient care with opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across a supportive clinical team.


The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supervising therapy aides and students, and assisting in the planning and coordination of clinic operations. This role also serves as a liaison with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure exceptional service and outcomes.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient services, reviewing activity levels to adjust for changes in patient load, staffing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with HR and clinic leadership to recruit, supervise, and guide staff while promoting a positive and patient-centered culture.
  • Provide input for staff performance reviews and support team development.
  • Maintain clinic equipment and physical space to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management on annual budget items to support clinical care.
  • Participate in clinic and departmental meetings, as well as special projects.
  • Perform and document comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Design and implement individualized therapy programs to restore, improve, or maintain function and independence.
  • Establish functional goals, track progress, and manage re-evaluation and discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and home programs.
  • Accurately document prognosis, treatment plans, and patient progress in the electronic medical record system.

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Successful completion of licensure exam
  • Active state license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ongoing continuing education per licensing requirements
  • Familiarity with healthcare policies and regulatory compliance


Certificates and Licenses Required

  • Active Occupational Therapy License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current TB clearance
