PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports the mission, core values and customer service of a Group of Dialysis Centers. Adheres to the Policies and Procedures and Compliance Program including all state and federal regulatory requirements. The Regional Nurse Manager plans, coordinates and manages the nursing department and other employees assigned to their respective area. This position identifies and develops strategic facility growth opportunities. Monitors staffing, budget, financial and clinical performance. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to the patients. Ensures quality care that is consistent with company and regulatory standards. May oversee multiple facilities and the direct reports for each facility. Reports and supports the Clinical Area Manager/Director in a specific Region.
PRIMARY DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
• Provide supervision to Dialysis programs.
• Administrative oversight of staff, quality clinical matrix, physician relationships, facility growth etc.
• Work with physicians and Clinical Nurse Managers to increase patient census.
• Promotes operational efficiency and works to achieve all quality goals.
• Participates in QAPI & Governing body meetings.
• Ensures adequate staffing and assists if needed.
Oversees the following:
• Ensures nursing staff is providing quality and appropriate patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
• Ensures safe and effective training, direct patient care and delivery of in-center and/or home dialysis therapies to patients in compliance with standards outlined in the facility policy and procedure manuals, as well as regulations set forth by the state and federal agencies.
• Mentors, develops, and provides additional support/guidance to Clinical Nurse Managers
• Rotates with other licensed and certified staff to ensure adequate patient care management coverage.
• Participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
• Assists in the identification, evaluation and selection of candidates
• Provides oversight, supervision and on-going support to the Dialysis Nurses and Patient Care Technician staff.
• Provides oversight and supervision of all Patient Care Technicians/Staff Assistant Caregivers.
• Ensures staff provides safe and effective delivery of Dialysis Patient Care.
• Works in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure safe and effective delivery of dialysis patient care.
• Communicates patient related issues to the Clinical Area Manager/ Director, Vice President of Clinical Operations and physicians as needed.
• Reports adverse patient events at home or in the facility/clinic as well as equipment and technology related problems to the Clinical Area Manager, Vice President of Clinical Operations, Quality Department, and physician, including the correct documentation of such events.
• Assists with the coordination of all patient admissions to the appropriate DCC/HDS facility when appropriate.
• May require out of state travel.
• Travel required: up to 30%
• Other duties, as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Must be PC proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel a must;
• Good presentation & communication skills
• Must be productive & resourceful with the ability to meet deadlines

• Must be a self-starter who can work independently yet function in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

• Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
EDUCATION:
• Minimum of 5 years of dialysis nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, RN or BSN
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Current appropriate state licensure as a registered nurse
• Current CPR card
