Clinical Educator – HIV Prevention
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Educator to support healthcare providers in delivering inclusive and effective HIV prevention care. This role involves educating clinicians and staff on the administration, management, and support resources related to HIV PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) therapy. The Clinical Educator will collaborate closely with sales and reimbursement teams to engage pre-identified provider accounts, deliver tailored therapeutic education, and support improved patient care outcomes through hands-on training and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute educational visits to pre-approved provider accounts within the assigned territory
- Collaborate with internal field teams (sales, reimbursement) to align on territory strategy and educational opportunities
- Deliver approved curriculum to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and office staff
- Provide in-depth training on PrEP product administration, patient support programs, and care coordination
- Conduct full-office in-services on topics such as patient education strategies, cultural competence, and LGBTQ+ inclusive practices
- Enhance provider ability to support diverse patient populations by addressing:
- Cultural sensitivity and inclusive communication
- Health literacy and simplified patient materials
- Social determinants of health and patient access to resources
- Personalized treatment planning and support
- Respond promptly to training requests and field inquiries
- Ensure all activities are completed in a timely, compliant, and professional manner
- Track, document, and report educational activities according to internal standards
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and bring insights back to enhance curriculum and engagement strategies
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current RN or NP license required
- Valid driver’s license
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare education or pharmaceutical field training
- Experience working with HIV or infectious disease populations strongly preferred
- Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to navigate clinical conversations and field real-world questions with confidence and credibility
- Adaptable, proactive, and mission-driven with a passion for patient advocacy
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and virtual training platforms
- Must be eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs
Work Conditions & Travel:
- Up to 50% travel within the assigned territory
- Standard office/remote work environment
- Occasional standing, walking, and presentation activities required
- Must be fluent in English with effective verbal and written communication skills
