ECHOCARDIOGRAPH TECH (Multiple Positions) - SIGN-ON BONUS!

LOCATION: Portland, Oregon

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

Performs cardiac ultrasound exams as directed by physicians using advanced ultrasound technology. Accurately identifies cardiac conditions through a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology. Support and assist physicians during more advanced echocardiography procedures such as transesophageal studies, echo-guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, myocardial biopsies, contrast imaging, and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Adapts procedures as needed to accommodate unique clinical situations and ensure effective, cost-conscious diagnostic outcomes.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience. 
• Associate's degree: Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography, preferred. 
• One year: Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, OR Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available, preferred. 
• Pediatric echocardiography experience, preferred. 
• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices), preferred. 
• Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center), preferred. 
• Oregon Sonographer, upon hire. 
• National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, upon hire, or 
• National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, upon hire, or 
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association, upon hire.
