Job Description:

The Telemetry Manager will assist in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating designated areas of nursing and patient services to assure optimum care and services are provided for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee successful daily department operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives.
• Assist in managing staff including performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities to meet facility and regulatory requirements.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and all health care providers.
• Act as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians and employees to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Manage unit supplies and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Interface with the nursing schools and participates in curriculum development and provide clinical instructors when resources available.

Requirements: 

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license within the state of practice.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at the bedside in the acute hospital environment.
• At least one year as charge nurse or unit leader.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
