An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pediatric Emergency Services professional at a high-acuity, full-service hospital in the Greater Houston area. This 400+-bed acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center, home to a Level III NICU, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a robust, growing academic training environment with multiple residency programs.
Role Overview:
As Director of Pediatric Emergency Services, you will lead a dedicated team in a 10-bed Pediatric ED that manages approximately 40,000 annual visits, with daily volumes ranging from 60 to 150 patients. While the unit does not have designated pediatric trauma status, it plays a vital role in the hospital’s continuum of care and community outreach.
You’ll report directly to the VP of Emergency Services, overseeing 42 FTEs and collaborating closely with Clinical Nurse Coordinators to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 3+ years of recent leadership experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department within an acute care setting
- A BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) – required
- Proven success in staff development, quality improvement, and ED operations
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: up to – $150,000 (depending on years of experience)
- Annual Bonus: Up to 17.5% based on performance
