Occupational Therapist/Hand Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a passion for helping patients regain function and independence in their hands, wrists, and elbows.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with upper extremity injuries and conditions, including but not limited to fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compressions, and arthritis.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and evidence-based practice.
• Provide a wide range of therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, splint fabrication, wound care, and patient education.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment, adhering to all professional and ethical standards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and research in hand therapy through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy or physical therapy program.
• Hold a current and active state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT).
• Must be a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC).
• Proven experience working in an outpatient or clinical setting, with a focus on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and pathology of the upper extremity.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
