You’ll play a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting staff growth, and optimizing operations—without weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily emergency department operations in collaboration with leadership.
• Plan staffing and resources to ensure quality care during peak times.
• Mentor, interview, hire, and evaluate nursing staff; maintain training and competencies.
• Drive continuous improvement through policy development and review of unit standards.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences.
• Support onboarding and orientation of new hires, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact eligibility (required).
• Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing (required); BSN preferred or in progress.
• BLS certification (required); ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Leadership experience in emergency/acute care strongly preferred.
