IMCU Registered Nurse

Position: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Longview, TX

Shift: Nights

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate IMCU RN who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and values both clinical excellence and patient connection. In this role, you’ll provide advanced care for patients who need close monitoring, combining critical thinking with a calm, focused presence.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver both routine and complex care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation
• Manage patient assignments independently while collaborating with a strong interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor effects, and adjust care as needed
• Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and emotional care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately
• Delegate appropriately to optimize workflow and patient outcomes

What You’ll Bring:

• RN license in state of employment or compact license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (or willing to obtain within designated time)
• 1+ year of relevant nursing experience preferred (IMCU, ICU, step-down, or telemetry)
• BSN preferred but not required
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills
