Position Title: Assistant Nurse Manager

Location: Garden City, KS

Shift: Variable schedule – Days, Nights, and Weekends (eligible for shift differentials)

Status: Full-time Permanent

You will guide your team in delivering life-saving care from the skies and on the ground, helping to ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a visible, supportive leader who fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Partner with nursing leadership to maintain optimal staffing levels and productivity.
  • Ensure operational readiness and compliance with clinical standards.
  • Identify staff development needs and champion evidence-based practice.
  • Oversee and participate in a rigorous training and orientation program.
  • Support hospital and regional initiatives that enhance patient care and safety.



Qualifications

  • Required:
  • 5 years of recent critical care RN experience
  • BSN or MSN in Nursing
  • Current RN license in state of employment
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and department-specific life support certifications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Preferred:
  • 2 years of previous flight nursing
  • 6–12 months of clinical leadership experience
  • Certification:
  • Certified Flight RN upon hire or within 2 years
  • Specialty Nursing Certification within 2 years (must sit for exam within 6 months of hire)

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work – ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
