Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Stepdown Charge Nurse

Location: Brooksville, FL/Spring Hill, FL

Schedule: Full-time • Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Charge Nurse to join our team. In this leadership role, you will provide direct patient care while also overseeing daily unit operations, guiding staff, and ensuring high-quality, efficient care delivery in a high-acuity environment. The Charge Nurse plays a vital role in fostering teamwork, supporting colleagues, and ensuring that patients and families receive compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL license required within 60 days if compact license held).
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
• Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience required.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and utilize basic computer systems.
• Onsite interview attendance is mandatory.

Unit Information

• All patients on telemetry
• Common diagnoses: atrial fibrillation, RVR, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization
• Management of a variety of drips (not currently titrating/starting)

Sign on Bonus: $15k for Nights
