RN Manager – Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Manchester, NH

Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Position Summary:

The RN Manager oversees daily unit operations and collaborates closely with leadership to support departmental growth, patient satisfaction, and quality outcomes. This role provides direction for nursing staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities and staffing within the Medical Surgical Unit.
• Foster a patient-centered environment focused on quality, safety, and satisfaction.
• Support staff recruitment, education, competency development, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards.
• Participate in budgeting, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or active compact state RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of acute care (Med Surg/Telemetry) experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in clinical operations and staff development.
