RN Manager – Cardiac Medical Unit

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Position Summary:

The RN Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Cardiac Medical Unit. Working in collaboration with the Director, this leader will guide departmental growth, promote patient satisfaction, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care. The role includes managing staffing, supporting professional development, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate daily operations, staffing, and patient flow within the unit.
• Support staff education, competency development, and annual performance evaluations.
• Promote patient-centered care and ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with budgeting and resource management.
• Lead by example to foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of New Hampshire or valid compact state RN license (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Strong leadership background with proven cardiac nursing experience.
