Community Relations Representative – Hospice & Palliative Care
LOCATION: Helena, MT
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
We are seeking a compassionate, driven Community Relations Representative to promote awareness of hospice care and support individuals, families, and healthcare partners in understanding and accessing end-of-life services. This role focuses on education, relationship-building, and community outreach to ensure patients receive seamless, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with potential patients and their families to explain hospice services, outline benefits, and ensure understanding of available support.
- Achieve and exceed established admission and outreach goals.
- Deliver presentations to both large and small audiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and referral sources.
- Collaborate closely with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure patient needs are met with compassion and continuity.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the local market, including referral trends and growth opportunities.
- Stay current with marketing best practices and share relevant insights with internal team members.
- Execute marketing and promotional activities to support outreach goals.
- Identify opportunities to educate the public on hospice services through community events and presentations.
- Track and document prospecting, outreach activity, and educational initiatives in an organized and timely manner.
- Organize and participate in educational events such as lunch-and-learns, community workshops, and informational sessions.
- Understand and adhere to compliance standards relevant to hospice operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation while following all privacy and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior account management, marketing, or sales experience preferred.
- At least three years of healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in hospice, palliative care, or senior care is a plus.
- Ability to communicate compassionately and tactfully with patients, families, and community members.
- Strong communication, presentation, public relations, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrates organization, autonomy, flexibility, initiative, and strong follow-through.
- Willingness to travel within a defined multi-community territory to support outreach, patient needs, and partnership development.
