Position: Pediatric Nurse Manager

Location: Abilene, TX

Shifts Available: Days

Status: Full Time

The Nurse Manager promotes and restores patient health by developing and executing both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic plans for the patient care area, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and fostering a collaborative, patient- and family-centered environment through the leadership and development of staff. • Strategic Planning: Developing and executing both daily operational plans and long-term strategic goals for patient care.
• Staff Leadership: Directing, developing, and mentoring nursing and professional staff.
• Fiscal Oversight: Managing the unit budget and demonstrating financial responsibility.
• Collaboration: Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to optimize care.
• Patient Advocacy: Guaranteeing a supportive environment that prioritizes patient and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (must be achieved or in progress with completion within 12 months).
• Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Current Texas RN license
• BLS
• PALS

Skills:

• Ability to research information and compose formal documentation.
• Proven written communication, editing, and professional correspondence (letters/memoranda).
• Experience coordinating meetings and compiling/analyzing reports.
• Strong computer skills.
