Medical Assistant – Full Time

Location: Elk River, MN

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant supports providers and clinic operations by managing patient flow and delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients of all ages. This role performs clinical and clerical tasks under the direction of licensed providers and clinic leadership, working collaboratively to meet patient and clinic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and complete intake processes
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed
• Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic clinic testing
• Provide telephone support and assist with patient–provider communication
• Support prescription refill requests
• Perform phlebotomy and x-ray duties (if appropriately trained and certified)
• Assist with front desk support, supply management, and prior authorizations

Qualifications & Expectations

• Demonstrates competency in Medical Assistant skills within scope of practice
• Maintains skill proficiency through ongoing training
• Communicates effectively with patients and the healthcare team
• Complies with all legal, regulatory, and privacy requirements
• Performs additional duties as assigned
