School Based Physical Therapist

Full-time School Based Physical Therapist Position

Schedule: M-F, congruent with school calendar

About the Role

The School Based Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with students, families, and educational staff to provide physical therapy services that support student success in the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
• Provide direct therapy services to students.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Communicate with families regarding student needs and progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• NJ School Certification (or ability to obtain)

Required Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of physical therapy practices and techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a school setting.
• Familiarity with special education processes and regulations.
