Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasional evenings for events)

Position Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | 40 hours per week

Compensation Range: $56,000 – $85,000

Work Setting: Onsite (hybrid potential in the future)

Position Overview

The Career Navigator plays a key role in guiding individuals — both internal team members and external candidates — through healthcare career exploration, educational pathways, and employment opportunities. This position supports workforce development initiatives, strengthens talent pipelines, and promotes career mobility by providing personalized coaching, structured career planning, and meaningful connections to real-world opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one career counseling to individuals exploring healthcare careers, offering insight into roles, qualifications, and advancement pathways.
  • Conduct career assessments and develop personalized career plans.
  • Connect participants to internships, mentorships, and shadowing opportunities in clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Design and facilitate workshops covering job readiness, interview preparation, resume development, professional communication, and workplace expectations.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and workforce agencies to support sustainable healthcare career pathways.
  • Track participant progress and maintain accurate program records; generate reports on outcomes, engagement metrics, and placement rates.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, school events, and community forums.
  • Support initiatives focused on career changers, students, and individuals from underserved communities to help diversify and strengthen the healthcare workforce.
  • Develop strategic academic partnerships with colleges, universities, and training programs to align education with workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with internal professional development teams to ensure training initiatives align with organizational workforce demands.
  • Serve on advisory boards for academic partners, providing input on curriculum alignment and workforce strategy.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of scholarship programs, including candidate outreach, selection coordination, academic progress tracking, and fund disbursement.
  • Partner with talent acquisition teams to assist scholars with job placement following graduation.
  • Exercise independent judgment in addressing non-routine challenges under general supervision.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in career development, talent acquisition, or workforce development
  • Knowledge of healthcare career pathways and credentialing requirements
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and career development platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills


Preferred:

  • Direct career navigation experience in a healthcare or workforce setting
