Surgical Technician – General Surgery

SURGICAL TECHNICIAN (GENERAL SURGERY)

LOCATION: Missoula, MT

JOB TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to support perioperative services in a fast-paced surgical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Technologist looking to contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-quality surgical care.

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures. This individual works closely with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff to support successful surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the operating room for assigned procedures.
• Ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
• Maintain strict sterile technique before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide intraoperative support to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist circulating staff and collaborate with the broader surgical team.
• Handle and label surgical specimens in accordance with protocol.
• Monitor and maintain proper function and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support surgical services.
• Full- and part-time job schedules available.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Prior experience working in an operating room setting, preferred.
