Surgical Services Director (RN) + Sign-On Bonus!

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Surgical Services (RN) to lead a high-performing perioperative team and drive excellence in patient care, operational performance, and clinical quality. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all surgical services operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and best practices in patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for surgical services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.
- Establish and execute departmental goals, policies, and performance standards aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee daily operations including patient care delivery, service quality, technology utilization, and patient experience initiatives.
- Lead staffing strategy including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental budgeting, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and lead internal and external audit processes.
- Address and resolve patient and operational concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Clinical Leadership Expectations
- Utilize the nursing process to support high-quality care across the surgical continuum.
- Provide clinical oversight for patient populations from admission through discharge or transfer.
- Serve as a mentor, leader, and resource for clinical staff.
- Maintain expertise in surgical nursing practices, procedures, and pharmacology.
- Support staff in delivering care efficiently while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six (6) months.
- Minimum of five (5) years of surgical services nursing experience.
- Prior leadership experience at the Manager or Director level required.
