Radiology Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse Radiology/ Pain Management

Department: Nursing Administration

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM).

Position Summary:

Seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Discharge team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and safe transition for patients as they prepare for discharge. You will collaborate closely with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized discharge plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding medications, wound care, diet, and other discharge instructions.
• Coordinate discharge transportation and home health services as needed.
• Address patient concerns and provide emotional support during the discharge process.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess for any potential complications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current New York State RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (within 12 months of hire for new hires).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for providing high-quality patient care.
