Sales Liaison – Home Care Services
Fairfax,VA [Field-Based]
Position Summary
The Sales Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships, generating new business opportunities, and increasing awareness of home care services throughout the community. This role serves as the primary point of contact for referral sources, prospective clients, and community partners while supporting growth initiatives and market expansion efforts.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated healthcare sales professional with experience building relationships, closing business, and representing services in a compassionate, consultative manner.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources including hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation facilities, case managers, social workers, senior living communities, and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify and cultivate new referral opportunities within assigned territories.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with referral partners to educate them on available services and patient eligibility.
- Serve as a trusted resource for referral partners and prospective clients.
Client Acquisition
- Meet with prospective clients and families to assess needs and explain available home care services.
- Present service options, payment structures, and onboarding processes.
- Guide prospective clients through the decision-making process and facilitate service initiation.
- Collaborate with internal operations and care teams to ensure a smooth transition from referral to admission.
Market Growth & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and increased market share.
- Participate in community outreach events, networking opportunities, healthcare conferences, and professional associations.
- Contribute ideas and strategies to support agency growth objectives.
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate documentation of referral activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline within CRM systems.
- Track referral metrics, conversion rates, and business development activities.
- Provide regular updates and forecasts to leadership regarding territory performance and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales, business development, healthcare marketing, or related experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience in home health, home care, hospice, healthcare services, senior living, or related healthcare environments.
- Existing relationships within the local healthcare community.
- Bilingual abilities.
