Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health

Location: Conroe, TX

Schedule: Full-Time

Shifts: Days & Nights

Status: Permanent

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

This is not your average nursing role. As a Behavioral Health RN, you will be the steady, compassionate force in the lives of patients navigating some of their most challenging moments — those facing psychiatric disorders, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and geriatric behavioral health needs. Your clinical expertise, empathy, and leadership will shape exceptional patient journeys every single day.

If you are a nurse who believes that behavioral health care is some of the most meaningful work in medicine — this role was built for you.

What You'll Do

As a Behavioral Health RN you will assess patients and develop individualized care plans within established timeframes and document findings according to policy, oversee and supervise your assigned shift while demonstrating strong clinical leadership, delegate tasks including groups, close observation, and meal supervision to appropriate team members, monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly — up to and including physician notification, follow hospital policy for medication administration with precision and consistency, oversee staff performance to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered, and interact with every patient using empathy, dignity, and respect at all times.

What's In It For You

  • Shift differentials for nights
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance
  • Short and long-term disability + paid family leave
  • Generous PTO
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tuition assistance and loan assistance programs
  • Free gym memberships and virtual care appointments
  • Mental health services and employee discount programs
  • Ongoing professional development and career advancement

What You'll Need

  • Active Texas RN license in good standing — required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing — required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience — required
  • Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience — required
  • Prior experience in psychiatric, chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or geriatric behavioral health — strongly preferred
  • Acute care or ER background — a plus
  • CPR certification — required within 30 days of hire
  • De-escalation certification — required within 30 days of hire
  • Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
