Physical Therapy Clinical Director (Outpatient – New Clinic Opening)

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Clinical Director will launch, lead, and grow a brand-new, state-of-the-art outpatient physical therapy clinic in Peoria, Arizona. This role is a hybrid of clinical excellence and operational leadership. The Clinical Director will be responsible for providing exceptional, evidence-based patient care while driving business development, managing clinic operations, mentoring staff, and establishing the clinic as a trusted provider within the West Valley community.


Core Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence: Deliver high-quality, individualized patient evaluations, treatments, and evidence-based care plans to a diverse outpatient caseload.
  • Operations & Leadership: Oversee all daily operations of the new facility, including managing the clinic budget, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), scheduling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and healthcare standards.
  • Staff Development & Mentorship: Build, train, and mentor a high-performing clinical and administrative team as the clinic scales. Foster a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented work culture.
  • Community & Business Development: Act as the primary face of the new clinic. Build and maintain strong relationships with local referring physicians, orthopedic groups, and community organizations to drive patient acquisition and brand awareness.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure strict compliance with documentation standards, HIPAA guidelines, and billing regulations. Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient clinical outcomes and satisfaction.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physical Therapy with equivalent clinical experience.
  • Licensure & Certifications:
  • Current or eligible for Physical Therapist licensure issued by the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record or strong interest in business development, marketing, and local networking.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage both clinical duties and operational business metrics. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
