CT Technologist (CT Tech)


Location: Pontiac, Michigan

Schedule: Full-Time | 10& 12 hour shifts

  • Starting pay from $33.66/hour (based on experience)
  • Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for night shift
  • Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for day shift
  • Various shift options available: Variable, Days & Nights. (10 & 12 hour shift options)

Position Summary

Join a collaborative diagnostic imaging team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care utilizing advanced CT imaging technology. This position performs a variety of computed tomography procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced acute care environment and are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
  • Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor patients throughout examinations.
  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment while ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality prior to submission to the radiologist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and PACS systems.
  • Follow radiation safety principles and infection prevention standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain per facility requirements).
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Preferred

  • Prior CT experience.
  • Current ARRT (CT) certification.

Growth Opportunity

Radiologic Technologists with ARRT certification who do not currently hold CT credentials are encouraged to apply. Cross-training into Computed Tomography is available, with the opportunity to earn CT certification within approximately 12 months, providing a structured pathway for career advancement while working in an acute care imaging environment.
