Territory: Boston & South Shore, MA
Compensation: $105,000–$125,000 annually
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hospice RN Clinical Liaison to support growth throughout the Boston and South Shore territory.
This position is primarily responsible for hospital and medical facility-based outreach, developing new referral sources, strengthening existing relationships, and increasing awareness and utilization of hospice services.
The RN Clinical Liaison combines clinical nursing expertise, relationship development, and healthcare sales experience to educate physicians, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, patients, and families about hospice care and available services.
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse who is comfortable working in a highly relationship-driven role and has demonstrated success developing referral relationships within the healthcare community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify key decision-makers and develop new referral relationships throughout the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular, planned outreach to both new and existing referral sources.
- Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families regarding hospice services, eligibility, philosophy, and available resources.
- Position the organization as a preferred hospice provider throughout the service area.
- Generate new referrals and contribute to agency census and growth objectives.
- Serve as a clinical resource to referral partners regarding hospice services and appropriate patient referrals.
- Assist with determining potential hospice eligibility based on clinical knowledge and training.
- Meet with prospective patients and families to explain hospice services and philosophy.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from referral through admission.
- Provide a high level of service and responsiveness to referral partners, patients, and families.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare sales, marketing, business development, or referral development experience.
- 1–2 years of hospice or palliative care marketing/business development experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, facilities, and community organizations.
- Strong understanding of relationship-based healthcare sales and referral development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding hospice services.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Compensation: $105,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
