  • BSN required
  • Emergency Room Leadership ( Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Coordinator, Manager Exp. Preferred)
  • BLS required
  • ACLS, PALS, CEN, TNCC preferred
  • Texas Unencumbered RN License or Compact license required
  • 2 plus years Current Acute ER RN Exp. required

Shift: Primarily Days | 24/7 Department Leadership

We are seeking an experienced ER Manager / Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead a dynamic Emergency Department in Fort Worth, TX.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ED nursing leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving patient flow, developing staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and patient care.

Position Overview

The ER Manager will provide overall leadership for the Emergency Department, including clinical operations, staffing, employee development, patient experience, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will be a visible, engaged leader who can effectively partner with physicians, nursing leadership, hospital administration, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop ED nursing staff
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and appropriate utilization of resources
  • Monitor department quality, patient safety, and patient experience outcomes
  • Promote efficient patient flow and throughput throughout the Emergency Department
  • Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary leadership to improve care delivery
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, retention, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and nursing practice requirements
  • Develop and implement process-improvement initiatives
  • Monitor department metrics and develop action plans when goals are not achieved
  • Support emergency preparedness and ongoing staff education
  • Maintain a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
