Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Long Island NY

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. The PMHNP will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, coordinate care, and support patients with behavioral health and substance use needs.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package including a $150,000 base salary, performance incentives, and eligibility for loan forgiveness programs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and establish diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Provide medication management, including patient education and informed consent.
• Deliver individual psychotherapy and crisis intervention services.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and community resources.
• Make and track referrals to behavioral health and substance use treatment programs.
• Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Active New York State RN and NP license.
• NYS Medicaid Provider enrollment Mandatory
• Must have 1 year PMHNP experience
• Experience in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
