Medical Director – Part Time – 1-2 Days Per Week

An established physician and provider group serving skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in the Brook Park, OH area is seeking a part-time Medical Director. You will provide clinical leadership and medical oversight while partnering with nurse practitioners, nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care. It is an ideal fit for a physician who wants meaningful leadership work without a full-time commitment.

What You'll Do

• Provide medical direction and oversight for resident care in skilled nursing and long-term care settings
• Mentor, supervise and guide nurse practitioners and lead regular case reviews
• Set and maintain clinical standards, protocols and care pathways for complex geriatric and chronic conditions
• Review quality metrics, hospitalization rates, infection control practices and patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local long-term care regulations and support surveys and audits
• Participate in QAPI programs and lead efforts to reduce avoidable hospitalizations
• Serve as clinical liaison among administration, nursing staff, providers, residents and families

What You Bring

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or a related specialty preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care or geriatrics preferred
• Prior Medical Director experience and familiarity with CMS long-term care regulations a plus
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, 1-2 days per week
• Day schedule combining onsite facility rounding and administrative work
