Position Summary:

The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s). The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement. This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.


Responsibilities:

  • Administrative and operational responsibility for assigned departments, including management of cost and finance, human resources, operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes, patient / physician, and staff satisfaction, change management and any other relevant responsibilities related to this position.

  • Serves as part of the entity management team focused on promoting the mission, vision, and values, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting patient - family centered services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes.

  • Responsible for succession planning, identifying talent, providing support, education, and resources to grow future nursing leaders.

  • May be required to assists in staffing as necessary to provide clinical care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements:


  • 3 years RN experience, required
  • 1-year clinical leadership experience, required
  • High School GED required
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
  • Masters Degree preferred 
  • Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required 
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire
  • Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC Approved
