Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedics (Full-Time)

Reports To: Physical Therapist / Clinic Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that helps patients restore function, improve mobility, and manage pain. This role supports patient recovery following injury, surgery, or orthopedic conditions in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement components of patient treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Monitor patient performance and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement practices.
• Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment.
• Accurately document patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to provide coordinated and effective care.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team.
