Position Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (Full-Time, Nights)

Location: Muskogee, OK

Department: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Shift: Nights

Role Summary:

The Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult patients requiring intermediate levels of monitoring and intervention. The RN uses clinical judgment, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork to deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced environment.

📚 Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license (multi-state or State of Oklahoma)
• BLS certification required
• 6–12 months of RN experience required
• ACLS preferred or obtained after hire per facility policy

🧠 Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of intermediate-level patient care protocols
• Ability to manage changing conditions and prioritize effectively
• Familiarity with bio-psychosocial models and clinical pathways
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Comfort with floating to ICU and Med/Surg units as needed

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Monitor patient status and report critical changes
• Document care accurately using appropriate medical terminology
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
• Support performance improvement and unit education initiatives

👥 Work Relationships:

• Direct contact with patients and families
• Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership
• Interfaces with healthcare professionals internally and externally
• Regular interaction with supervisory and director-level personnel

Weekends & Holidays: Required per department guidelines
