The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing exceptional patient care through thorough evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and effective administration of therapy for a wide range of outpatient conditions. This role focuses on optimizing patient outcomes while ensuring adherence to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans for outpatient conditions, including occasional direct-access cases.
  • Apply a variety of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, modalities, manual therapy, and other treatments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
  • Ensure lawful, ethical, and evidence-based delivery of therapy services.
  • Accurately document patient care according to regulatory and departmental standards.
  • Provide direct supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, leadership, and clinical staff to support coordinated care.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic environment.
  • Maintain flexibility with scheduling and travel to meet clinic needs, which may include variable shifts or multiple locations.
  • Uphold safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and share relevant knowledge with colleagues as directed.
  • Support occasional community outreach or educational events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; Bachelor’s degree required, with Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
  • Active Washington state Physical Therapy license or license application in progress.

  • Safely and independently navigate the clinical environment, which may involve frequent standing, bending, lifting, and extended periods of sitting.
  • Work efficiently, manage interruptions, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, staff, and leadership.
  • Prioritize tasks while remaining flexible to operational needs.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver effective patient care.
  • Follow instructions accurately and operate clinical and communication equipment as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
