Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
Location: California | Mobile Field-Based (Outpatient Clinics)
Schedule: Day Shift | 3–5 Days per Week | No Nights or Overnights
This is a unique opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with cardiac imaging experience who enjoys autonomy, flexibility, and patient-focused care outside of a hospital setting. This role supports outpatient clinics across California using mobile imaging technology, allowing technologists to work independently while remaining fully supported by an experienced operations and compliance team.
You’ll deliver high-quality cardiac nuclear imaging in outpatient environments, manage your daily workflow, and serve as a trusted clinical partner to providers and clinic staff.
What You’ll Do
- Perform cardiac nuclear medicine imaging in outpatient clinic settings
- Operate mobile gamma camera equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure compliance with imaging protocols, documentation, and regulatory standards
- Communicate professionally with patients, clinic staff, and internal support teams
- Manage timekeeping, certifications, and required documentation accurately
- Travel locally between assigned clinics as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Cardiac nuclear imaging experience
- Ability to work independently in mobile/non-hospital environments
- Strong compliance discipline (documentation, timekeeping, certifications)
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Professional, patient-centered communication style
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ultralinq and NucTrak
- Experience with Digirad dual-head or triple-head gamma cameras
- Prior mobile imaging or outpatient clinic experience
- Multi-state licensure (CA/AZ)
- Scheduling and territory flexibility
Certifications & Licensure
- Active NMTCB and/or ARRT-N certification
- Active California NMT license (Arizona a plus, if applicable)
- Current ACLS
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
New Graduates
✔️ Yes — considered on a case-by-case basis with appropriate clinical training
Schedule Details
- 3–5 days per week
- Full-time eligibility begins at 30+ hours/week
- Day shifts only
- Typical schedules:
- 8–9 hour days for meet-at-site assignments
- ~11 hour days for assignments involving hub or extended drive time
- No nights, no overnights
