Physical Therapist – Acute Care
Location: Sanford, FL
Schedule: Full-Time |
Shift: Days, 8-Hour Shifts |
Status: Permanent
Why This Role Belongs on Your Radar
This is not your average PT role. Imagine working in a 221-bed acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center, home to the only full-service cardiovascular program in the area, and offering cutting-edge orthopedic, spine, and robotic surgery services. You will be challenged every single day — and supported every step of the way.
New grads are welcome. Experienced therapists will thrive. Everyone gets to make a real difference.
Your Schedule, Your Life
Say goodbye to the burnout-inducing schedule you have been tolerating. This role offers 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with start times between 7–10am. Weekend rotation starts at 4 weekends per month and decreases to just 2 as you settle in — because leadership here actually respects your time outside the hospital.
What You'll Do
You will manage the complete therapeutic care process for an assigned group of patients, working collaboratively with physicians and the care team. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing evaluations and treatment interventions within the full scope of PT practice, assessing and evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status for each patient, developing and implementing individualized, goal-focused care plans, providing skilled therapeutic interventions to drive meaningful changes in patient condition and function, instructing patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices for use outside of sessions, and prioritizing caseload while coordinating daily staffing needs and patient handoffs.
