Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Microbiology Supervisor who will oversee the microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining quality control, and driving efficiency and productivity within the department.




Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the microbiology laboratory team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control measures and procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of microbiological testing results.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of laboratory practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • Laboratory Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample processing, testing, data analysis, and reporting, to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and laboratory supplies to support uninterrupted workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Method Development and Validation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate microbiological testing methods, ensuring suitability for intended applications and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to microbiological testing methodologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, test results, and documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company protocols.
  • Prepare and present reports, summaries, and recommendations to senior management regarding laboratory performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Acute Care Experience Required
  • In-depth knowledge of microbiological testing techniques, methods, and instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards governing microbiology laboratories (e.g., FDA, cGMP, ISO).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
