Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Microbiology Supervisor who will oversee the microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining quality control, and driving efficiency and productivity within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and manage the microbiology laboratory team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control measures and procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of microbiological testing results.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of laboratory practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Laboratory Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample processing, testing, data analysis, and reporting, to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Manage inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and laboratory supplies to support uninterrupted workflow and minimize downtime.
- Method Development and Validation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate microbiological testing methods, ensuring suitability for intended applications and regulatory compliance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to microbiological testing methodologies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, test results, and documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company protocols.
- Prepare and present reports, summaries, and recommendations to senior management regarding laboratory performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Acute Care Experience Required
- In-depth knowledge of microbiological testing techniques, methods, and instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards governing microbiology laboratories (e.g., FDA, cGMP, ISO).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
