Job Summary: 

We are in search of a professional, passionate Hematology & Oncology Specialist to join our team of doctors. You will care for a wide array of patients with a goal to eradicate, treat, and/or maintain quality of life as it pertains to an individual case. Must specialize in treating, screening, and preventing disorders of the blood such as anemia, sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, hemophilia as well as different types of cancer including Leukemia and Lymphoma. You will see a vast array of benign and malignant hematology providing balance to all types of solid tumors. You will diagnose and treat cancerous blood disorders and cancers and provide treatments to manage symptoms of these diseases and tumors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and/or order tests to diagnose the patient and determine the cause of their issues through physical examination, identifying symptoms, and evaluating the whole body.
  • Provide screening for cancers.
  • Conduct medication checks, order diagnostic laboratory tests, and oversee chemotherapy regimens.
  • Educate patients, their family, and the community about health information, such as how to live with disease.
  • Provide medical treatment for familial cancer syndrome, cancers in remission care, cancer recurrence health screening, post-transplant medical care, cancer or blood disorder symptom management, bone marrow transplant care, bleeding health disorders, and blood cancer management.
  • Provide follow-up care and work with other medical specialists including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists to provide the highest quality of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current Internal Medicine Doctor license in state of practice required.
  • Internal Medicine board certification required & board certified in both Hematology and Oncology.
  • BC/BE in hematology and oncology.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience.
  • The ability to communicate information in layman terms to patients and/or their families.
  • Is compassionate and warm towards patients, who often suffer from painful and debilitating conditions.
